Regional workshops, issue forums, conference workshops and help organizing your Water Watch group are available.
Regional workshops will be conducted on effective individual and group action in water resource protection, detailing successful public participation strategies. Speakers include individuals from outside as well as inside state government with experience in community action. A group that would like to help sponsor such a workshop should contact the Water Watch Program.
Local groups can sponsor community water resources forums to provide opportunities for speakers and discussion on local water quality and water quantity issues. Local sponsors will be given promotional assistance, guideline documents, format assistance and help with recruiting panelists.
Organizations having a conference or statewide meeting can receive assistance with setting up a workshop or program for members who have an interest in water resource management. These workshops range from panel discussions on water resource issues to hands-on or in-field training programs. Format and content of the programs can be tailored to a group's specific needs.
