The Water Watch program is dedicated to helping you protect Kentucky's streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands. The Water Watch program accomplishes its goals through community education initiatives, community leadership and action and water quality monitoring projects.

Community Education Initiatives
School and youth-based programs, adult community programs and shoreline cleanups are all part of the Water Watch community education initiative.
Community Leadership and Action
Regional workshops, assistance in accessing agency services, issue forums, conference workshops and help in organizing your Water Watch group are available.
Water Quality Monitoring Projects
Learn more about Kentucky Water Watch basic stream monitoring, including biological and chemical monitoring, as well as lake monitoring and video and photographic monitoring.
Learn more about how the Division of Water uses monitoring data collected by volunteers to (1) delineate and characterize watersheds, (2) screen for water quality problems and (3) measure baseline conditions and trends.
