The Resource Planning and Program Support Branch (RPPS) works closely with all branches of the Division of Water (DOW) and with other intergovernmental and community agencies to plan for and facilitate DOW activities. The branch has five sections:
The Data Entry and Management Section is responsible for scanning mail, plans and other documents for cataloging and submittal to the department’s electronic data storage system TEMPO. In addition, this section keys data as needed and manages the division’s file room. This section is working to reduce the amount of paper records stored by back scanning historical records and purging records that have exceeded their useful life based on the departments record retention policy.
The Grant Management Section is responsible for managing the division’s federal grant programs. This includes Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act grants that are funded by the Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, the section is responsible for Risk Map grants and Dam Safety grants that are funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The IT Support Section is responsible for maintaining all hardware and software for the division. This section also manages all IT-related projects and supports DOW staff with data management needs.
The Program Support Section is responsible for administrative duties related to the ongoing operations of the division. This includes processing all purchase requests, the processing of all permit fees for deposit, the processing of all cell phone requests, the processing of training requests from division staff and performing all inventory functions (which include the annual inventory, performing inventory transfers, entering new fixed assets into the inventory system and the surplusing of obsolete equipment).
The Resource Planning Section is not staffed at this time. All duties are being performed by others within the branch and the division.
